Joined with itself or other motifs, this delicate star will look lovely in a finished piece. It also makes a great accent for apparel and accessories and can even stand alone as a piece of jewelry or a bookmark. crochet_open_star_motif

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 2″ (5 cm) across

Materials:
Size 10 crochet thread (approximately 20 yards)
Crochet Hook B (2.25 mm)
yarn size 0

Gauge:
Rounds 1 – 4 in pattern measure 2″ (5 cm) across

Crochet Pattern: Open Star Motif
Round 1: make adjustable ring, ch 2, 10 hdc in ring, sl st in top of beginning ch-2: 10 hdc
Round 2: ch 1, (sc in next hdc, ch 3, tr in next hdc, ch 3) around, sl st in first sc: 40 st
Round 3: ch 1, (sc in next sc, 3 sc in next ch-space, ch 2, dc in next tr, ch 2, 3 sc in ch-space) around, do not sl st: 60 st
Round 4: ch 1, (sl st in next 4 sc, 2 sc in ch-space, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, 2 sc in ch-space, sl st in next 3 sc) around: 80 st
Finish off.

    You know, I just got an Idea. I’m going to make tons of motif’s and put them all in a nice box. and use them whenever I need to. Every one of these motif’s are the most beautiful I ever seen. I’m just thrilled with crochet spot.
