This past summer I was visiting my family in Wisconsin. We went up to Northern Wisconsin to a cabin on a lake that my dad rents every year. While I was there, my niece came to visit for a few days and she had made these really cute multi-color embroidery thread knotted bracelets. She taught me how to make them. I wanted a bracelet that was thicker and had some sparkle, so I came up with this crochet pattern that uses crochet thread classic 10 yarn and silver metallic stretch cord. You can adjust them to any size wrist by adding or deleting the number of chains. They can be made in a multitude of colors to suit anyone’s wardrobe. Kerchiefs are a more compact but still warm alternative to the bulkiness of a scarf. Unlike a cowl that fits just as closely, you don’t need to pull it over your head. This kerchief is fastened at the back of the neck with a large button. It can also be worn on the head like a bandana in place of a hat or headband. This kerchief is crocheted from the bottom up, with a simple yet interesting open work pattern.

If you can start off a Tunisian crochet project, then you can do this increase, which is basically adding a foundation to the beginning of a row. Note: If you’ve never done Tunisian crochet, start with this tutorial: How to Crochet: Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS)

In our love of personalization let’s crochet for everything, including the necessary. Glasses need protection but they also need to be you. Being made of crochet fabric this case has a fair amount of elasticity but if you find your size glasses need a little more room simply add a couple extra chains to both front and back rectangles to begin with and continue with the patterns instructions!
