Crochet Pattern: Easy Tunisian Square Scrubbie

By Candace – February 11th, 2014 6 Comments
A set of simple square scrubbies is great to have on had when cleaning tough spots in small crevices and provides an easy project for people who are new to Tunisian crochet. Since it is a narrow pattern, you can work on it with a regular crochet hook and try out Tunisian crochet before you go out and buy new Tunisian hooks.

Crochet Pattern: Comfy Snuggle Wrap

By Amy Yarbrough – February 9th, 2014 Be the first to comment
One of the best ways to show someone you care is by giving them something you have taken the time to make. That is exactly what I wanted to do by making this soft and chunky wrap for a friend. When times get difficult, we all need something to brighten us up a bit. I wanted my friend to remember when she wraps up in this crocheted piece, similarly, God’s arms are always there for her. And now I’d like to share this pattern with you. Maybe you know someone who could use a little comfort right now or maybe you need to feel it. Relax with your favorite chunky yarn and let the problems of today roll away! crochet comfy snuggle wrap

Crochet Pattern: Three Strand Twisted Bracelet

By Laurie Beranek – February 5th, 2014 1 Comment
This past summer I was visiting my family in Wisconsin. We went up to Northern Wisconsin to a cabin on a lake that my dad rents every year. While I was there, my niece came to visit for a few days and she had made these really cute multi-color embroidery thread knotted bracelets. She taught me how to make them. I wanted a bracelet that was thicker and had some sparkle, so I came up with this crochet pattern that uses crochet thread classic 10 yarn and silver metallic stretch cord. You can adjust them to any size wrist by adding or deleting the number of chains. They can be made in a multitude of colors to suit anyone’s wardrobe. Best of all, they are super quick and easy to make. You can make up a bunch in no time at all. Enjoy! Twisted Bracelet

Crochet Pattern: Buttoned Kerchief

By Candace – February 2nd, 2014 1 Comment
Kerchiefs are a more compact but still warm alternative to the bulkiness of a scarf. Unlike a cowl that fits just as closely, you don’t need to pull it over your head. This kerchief is fastened at the back of the neck with a large button. It can also be worn on the head like a bandana in place of a hat or headband. This kerchief is crocheted from the bottom up, with a simple yet interesting open work pattern. crochet buttoned kerchief

How to Crochet: Tunisian Increase at the Beginning of a Row

By Candace – February 1st, 2014 Be the first to comment

If you can start off a Tunisian crochet project, then you can do this increase, which is basically adding a foundation to the beginning of a row. Note: If you’ve never done Tunisian crochet, start with this tutorial: How to Crochet: Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS)

You can mouse over the photos to see a left-handed view.

First chain the number of stitches you need to add at the beginning of the row. I am adding three stitches, so I am working a ch-3.

Crochet Pattern: Out of the Woods Glasses Case

By Amy Yarbrough – January 30th, 2014 Be the first to comment
In our love of personalization let’s crochet for everything, including the necessary. Glasses need protection but they also need to be you. Being made of crochet fabric this case has a fair amount of elasticity but if you find your size glasses need a little more room simply add a couple extra chains to both front and back rectangles to begin with and continue with the patterns instructions!
