| My hair almost never feels tamed without a headband. It’s almost like my keys as far as being a necessity for leaving the house. A lot of crochet headbands are really wide–at least for my taste– and I wanted one that was less obtrusive with skinny ties to keep it on. And of course, I had to put a cable on it. |

| There are many reasons to have a small pouch on hand during this season. Fill it with a gift to give, decorate with it, or use it to put a few of your favorite Christmas CD’s to bring with you on trips, to name just a few. There is always something you can use a pouch for. The stitch used is called the Spike Cluster and works into many of the previous rows to give it the perfect flourish. Though it may look daunting it is truly an easy and fun stitch. So give it a try. You can’t have too many bags! |  |
| There are many themes at Christmas, mostly with color. Berry red and Christmas tree green, often times mixed with white are a more average theme. Then there are candy-colored themes, neon palettes, and some royal colors like deep purple and chocolate brown. But my particular favorite is the old-fashioned theme of dark reds and greens, with some browns thereabouts. Gives you a feeling of cherished Christmases from the past. That’s the same feeling I wanted to capture while designing this pattern. Old and cherished. This star ornament was made with simple stitches and a rustic cotton yarn. Very easy and fun!
