Crochet Pattern: Barbie Shrug

By Candace – 8 Comments
Even dolls need something to keep them snug and warm when the temperature drops and snow covers the ground. This shrug, with its simple shaping, does the trick. Switching between round and flat crocheting makes an easy open-front shrug. crochet_barbie_shrug

I tried doing it as per instruction but just couldn’t get it done right. I then did it flat and made it two stitches bigger and it came out great. Thanks I love finding new patterns.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just got the pattern.

I’m having a bit of trouble at the last part. Rnds 21-25 say to hdc but rnds 26-28 say to sc in ea sc arnd. What sc’s are these?

  4. Linda M. says:

I think I figured out to sc into ea dc for the last rows, but how do I stitch that side together? Is it better to sew by hand or sc the edge tog?

  5. Linda M. says:

Candace, I’m having some trouble with your pattern for the Barbie shrug. Do I sc in the dc of the last rows, and what is suggested to sew the sleeve together? You didn’t put that in the pattern. The first sleeve goes together in a round, but the second one is in rows. Can you be kind enough to complete the pattern, please. It’s very cute, but I want to make sure I’m doing it correctly. Thanks
