Ever get lost in thought while dipping and diving through all of the beautiful inspiration on Pinterest? You have? 🙂 Of course you have! This post is inspired by the never-ending stream of visual stimulation that is Pinterest.

For whatever reason, my Pinterest feed is exploding with tons of gift wrapping ideas right now. There also seems to be a trend with giving food items like cookies, cupcakes, and candies. Well, I am fully in favor of that! Since I feel the need to put my own stamp on things, I decided to combine (what else?) Crochet and Candy!!

These are projects that you can make fairly easily, have universal appeal, and can be gifted all year ’round by making just a few basic changes. Just crochet, fill with the recipient’s favorite treats, and give!

For the elementary school kid: These animal drawstring bags are cuuute! Kids will love to find candy inside of their favorite animal.

For a little girl: I used to love carrying a purse when I was a little girl – but I didn’t know what to carry! Putting a sweet treat into this bracelet bag will solve that problem.

For the tween girl: How cool would it be to carry a cupcake to school? It would be even better if filled with creamy confections! 🙂

For a teen or adult: This is a brilliant, double duty gift! Put a cute, tubular candy roll into this makeup case and give it away. The recipient can then use it for its intended purpose: makeup!

For anyone: Truly, anything goes into these adorable drawstring bags! Since the pattern is easy to follow, you can make simple changes to accommodate larger candy bars or big portions of candy! You’ll get a lot of mileage out of this pattern – five bags with many uses!

For everyone! These are for everyone because they are so quick to make and so very useful! Throw 2 or 3 individually wrapped life save mints into this tiny coin purse keychain. If the recipient chooses to refill it, he or she will never be without a mint when they need it!

BONUS You can use this tutorial to learn how to line your crocheted bags!
