It is an absolute pleasure to announce and congratulate the winners of the 2016 Crochet Spot Oscar Mystery CAL! The whole thing was a lot of fun and it was different for us. I was thrilled to see that people threw caution to the wind and enjoyed the process and the projects, too!

We had twelve wonderful nominees! Each entrant was honored with a beautiful, high resolution nominee badge suitable for printing or displaying on your blog, website, or social media.

It was loads of fun. I loved how no one knew how they would turn out before we started. I bet you could do a March Madness one where each team gets a stitch pattern.

It was not only great fun and excitement, but all the patterns were fun to make. I enjoyed them the most because the stitches were different for rounds. It made the pattern fun to work on and pretty. Thank you again, Rachel, for the enouragement and limelight. Thanks to others for the congrats. I hope more of you download the patterns and try them out for friends and family. It makes each one special.

  7. Lynne says:

My prize package from Red Heart arrived yesterday and it’s even more beautiful in person than in the picture above. It included two skeins each of Medley Stained Glass, Grande Metallic in Wisteria (my new favorite color!), Boulevard Skyline, Infinity Thinder and Fur in Cobalt, as well as a Red Heart tote bag. It was very exciting and I’m looking forward to finding just the right pattern for each. And last, but definitely not least, a crochet sock pattern from the store. I’d just recently decided I wanted to learn to make socks and I already bought the purple sock yarn to do it (I said its my favorite new color!).

I enjoyed the Oscar CAL very much and did it without any thought of a prize so it was a wonderful surprise. Crochet Spot is my favorite go-to crochet site and I recommend it often. Thank you again.
