This choker style necklace really lives up to its name, but experienced crocheters can easily adjust the size by adding more fans. It can also be lengthened by adding chain–crochet or otherwise. |

There’s a new pattern in the Crochet Spot Store! Crochet these simple fashion accessories to wear with heels, boots, flats, or even barefoot around the house. The pattern is a classic ridged texture that is stretchy and comfy to wear. The 3 decorative buttons at the bottom of the leg warmer can be unbuttoned so the leg warmer can fit over wider shoes. The pattern can be adjusted so you can make the leg warmer as long, short, tight, or loose, as desired. Feel free to make a bunch of leg warmers in different colors to go with your different outfits!

It is amazing how easy it is to freshen up your home decor for the new season. It doesn’t require a lot of money either. If you have some scrap yarn you can easily crochet this daisy chain trim which can be sewn onto pillows, curtain hems and more! By changing the color of the flowers you can easily update the trim for each passing season. You could also make this trim with fingering yarn which would make a delicate embellishment for nightgowns, baby clothes and fine linens. This pattern is quite addictive and fast to whip up. It is a great project to keep in your crochet arsenal! |

There’s a new pattern in the Crochet Spot Store! Are you a penguin lover or know someone who is? This pillow is a full size round pillow that’s designed to be a cute, chubby penguin. The pillow is crocheted in large, thick stitches making it fairly quick to work up for its size. The face, wings, and feet are then sewn on. The wings and feet are moveable, making the pillow fun to play with. The pillow can be filled with polyester fiberfill to make it as soft or as firm as desired. A pillow insert can be used instead of fiberfill if desired.

1) WEIRD KID
Well we are doing up miss 15-year-old’s room. It’s about time. She’s been in there since she was 3. She has done her part and pulled everything out, thrown broken old things away and given a huge amount to charity. She is currently sleeping in the spare bedroom. She has been ‘saving up’ for this moment. Her 15th birthday just passed and there was no present because she wanted her room done. She will be getting a new bed, side tables and mattress from us. Presents are never that big, however, we were going to do it anyway. She has used her birthday money from others to purchase a new cover for her bed and she is going to purchase, with her own money, a glass display cabinet for her precious things. She has been using the one I had when I was 11. I’ll make some curtains and she will keep her existing floor mat.
2) GREEN ROOM
Hubby is going to paint the walls, since I am a horrible painter. My daughter wants her walls green, screaming green. I suppose apple green is the best I can describe it. For some bizarre reason hubby said YES to this green wall request. Let’s just not even discuss what’s going through my head.

As the final few weeks of summer wind down we are enjoying the last of our homegrown watermelons. At first it seemed like we would never run out of our favorite summer treat, but alas they are dwindling. We’ve even taken several to our state fair to be displayed along with the rest of our garden’s bounty. It is so hard to believe that we are approaching the end of August. Before we know it the cool winds of autumn will be blowing. Remember summer by crocheting this easy watermelon potholder. This project makes a great gift! |

Creating an inverse stitch isn’t very complicated, and those who like to experiment should not have too hard a time incorporating them into their tinkering. Since they are mostly used in slip stitch crochet, this tutorial will demonstrate the technique using the slip stitch.

There’s a new pattern in the Crochet Spot Store! These 5 drawstring bags are decorated to look like goofy animals! Animals include a bear, bunny, dog, elephant, and lion. Crochet these bags as cute party favors, unique gift bags or to hold your personal items. The bags are great for children, but adults can enjoy these cute bags as well. Each bag is crocheted seamlessly in the round. Then the small animals parts are sewn onto the bag. The bags open at the top and close using a simple drawstring.

There are no small parts, only small actors-and in this case the actors are all costumed fingers. This bunny finger puppet is made for little hands to keep them busy. With some scrap yarn and a little spare time, you can work up several plays’ worth of bunnies and put on a really good show. |
