Crochet Pattern: Child’s Cat Ear HeadbandBy Emilee Gettle – 3 Comments
|The other day, while my daughter and I were taking a walk, a little black kitten and his tabby sibling peeked out from among a stack of haybales. While the tabby cat is only interested in getting fed the black kitten we’ve named Miette has become quite loveable. My daughter is so attached to her new little friend. I crocheted this cat ear headband for her to wear while getting her fall photo taken with her new found feline friend. It seems like cat lovers are often crochet lovers, so I wanted to share this pattern with you too. It can be crocheted in a matter of minutes!|

Crochet Pattern: Child’s Cat Ear Headband
Row 1: For a child’s headband sc 54 times over the headband. I recommend leaving about 1 1/2″ of each end of the headband uncovered so it’s more comfortable to wear. Weave in loose ends.
Row 1: To create an ear, count 16 sc from the edge of the headband, sl st to join in the 16th sc, sc in next 7 sc: 7 sc
Row 2-3: ch 1, turn, sc in next 7 sc: 7 sc
Row 4-8: ch 1, turn, skip first sc, sc in next sc and in each sc across
Finish off. Repeat ear instructions on the other side of the headband for the second ear.
Add a drop or two of super glue to the last 3 sc sts on each side of the headband so the yarn will stay in place. Allow to dry completely before wearing.
