Crochet Patterns for the Thanksgiving Table

Posted in Best Crochet Patterns on November 8th, 2017 by Rachel Choi – Be the first to comment

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the fall and autumn colors that create a homey feel. I even love the big, rowdy, extended family gatherings. Add great food, great decor, and great company and you have the best time of the year.

While there isn’t much I can do about the food on your table, or the company you have, I can help you with your Thanksgiving decor. In this post, I rounded up a few of my favorite crochet patterns to go on the table this year.

Super comfy and warm, this over sized shrug is a must for your fall and winter wardrobe. The shrug is crocheted with a striped eyelet pattern to create a fabric that drapes easily, has textural interest, and is still surprisingly warm. The solid border is used to contrast the lighter eyelet pattern. Instructions for adjusting the shrug to any size or fit is included within the pattern. Whether you’re an extra small or plus size, customize this shrug to your liking.

When you think of buying a crochet book, most people are looking for a variety of patterns. Design Your Own Crochet Projects by Sara Delaney has a different approach. While still providing a variety of crochet patterns, it gives you the details on how each pattern is designed and sized. I wish there was a book like this years ago when I started designing my own crochet patterns. It gives you the insight into how the author develops her patterns so that you can extrapolate what you want to make your own.

Posted in Fun Ramblings, Tutorials and Help on October 20th, 2017 by Rachel Choi – 11 Comments
