8 Crochet Bead Tutorials

Adding beads to your crochet can give your project the extra touch it needs. Beads are popular in crochet jewelry patterns, but can also be used in scarves, shawls, accessories, home decor, toys, and anything else you can imagine. In this post, I rounded up eight bead tutorials that we have on Crochet Spot. They are in the order which I recommend learning if you aren’t familiar with bead work. Of course, you can jump around to different tutorials if certain ones spark your interest.


  1. Stringing Beads – The very first thing you’ll need to do is string the beads onto your yarn or thread. In case you’re having trouble with stubborn beads, this tutorial has some tips to help.
  2. How to Chain with Bead – We all learn to crochet the chain stitch first, so why not learn to crochet the chain stitch with beads first? Crocheting with beads is a lot easier than you may think!
